Almudena Romero, from The Pigment Change, Chapter I: The Act of Producing
Opened in October 2016, the Fisheye Gallery is located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, in a place exclusively dedicated to contemporary photography, a stone's throw from the Saint-Martin canal. With a second 200 m² space opened in Arles, the gallery is proud to represent artists with diverse works. As a young gallery, the Fisheye Gallery tends to stand out by offering uninhibited emerging international programming.
It assumes its role of pioneering new photographic works in major European fairs as well as with public institutions and photography stakeholders. The gallery is chaired by Benoît Baume, co-founder of the Fisheye group, whose magazine of the same name is dedicated to current photography and the role of this art in our society from an economic, cultural and sociological point of view. Since July 2021, it has been directed by Salomé d'Ornano.
