NEW AIPAD MEMBERS IN 2024
AIPAD enters the new year by welcoming four new members: Ungallery from Buenos Aires and Roland Belgrave Vintage Photography, Ltd., from Brighton as full members; and Marshall Gallery from Santa Monica and Daniel/Olivery Gallery from Brooklyn as associate members. Exposure spoke with three of the new members and will catch up with Ungallery in the next issue.

The list of exhibitors for The Photography Show, April 25-28 at the Park Avenue Armory, includes 78 galleries from across the globe, with longstanding AIPAD members as well as galleries new to the fair. Plus December highlights from member galleries.

On Thursday, November 30, curator James Oles will give a virtual tour of the exhibition Mexichrome: Fotografía y color en México. Also: show highlights from AIPAD members.

Join Paul Martineau, Curator of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum, as he delves into the captivating journey of Rodney Smith, a distinguished New York-based fashion photographer. Also: the fall season is in full swing and AIPAD member galleries have organized a rich variety of exhibitions.

AIPAD welcomes four new members this fall: Foto Relevance (Houston, TX) and Galerie XII (Santa Monica, CA) join as Members, and Assembly (Houston, TX) and Momentum (Miami, FL) as Associate Members.

Exposure spoke to several private dealers, whose expertise and knowledge is invaluable to the field. For this issue, we spoke to four more longtime private dealers, who talked about how they got their start in the field, what they’re working on, and what they love about the medium.

AIPAD’s Photography Show will return to the Park Avenue Armory next spring, April 25-28, 2024. After successful fairs at Pier 94 and then at Center415, AIPAD will be bringing the 43rd edition of the fair back to the historic venue it occupied from 2006 to 2016.

Private photography dealers may operate under the radar compared to galleries with public exhibitions and openings, but their expertise and knowledge is invaluable to collectors and institutions. Exposure spoke to three longtime private dealers about how they got their start in the field, the photographers they’ve worked with, and some of the collections they’ve built.

From idealized dream spaces to images by an artist in exile, from photographs made by the sun to pictures made after the sun has set, AIPAD member galleries are showing a rich variety of photographs in the month of May.

A Letter from the Executive Director regarding the 2023 edition of The Photography Show, a welcome to AIPAD's new President, Martijn van Pieterson, and spring preview highlights.
